Warrior Cats 

Warrior Cats is a series based on the adventures of feral cats. There are multiple gangs of cats in the books. They occur predominantly in fictional forests and woodlands. There are five main clans in the Warrior series —ThunderClan, ShadowClan, RiverClan, WindClan and SkyClan. The cats also believe their ancestors reside in the StarClan and guide the living cats on their correct paths. The books are perfect for readers aged 9-14-years-old but are also enjoyed by teens and adults. 

There are a total of eight series and over 40 books in the Warrior Cats books, as well as field guides, novellas and manga. The first series is The Prophecies Begin and features six books Into the Wild, Fire and Ice, Forest of Secrets, Rising Storm, A Dangerous Path and The Darkest Hour. The second series of books is called The New Prophecy, which has another six books starting with Midnight and continuing with Moonrise, Dawn, Starlight, Twilight and Sunset. The Warrior Cats books have numerous returning characters, and each series explores different clans. Each cat is feral, some were previously pets but are now wild, but they abide by the Warrior Cats Code. This code includes sixteen rules followed by all clans, and these rules include prey is killed only to be eaten, no warrior can neglect a kit (kitten) in pain or danger, even if the kit is from a different Clan, and each Clan must help the others so that no Clan will fall. Each Clan agrees to follow the rules as well as giving thanks to their ancestors frequently for food, health and strength.

There are also four graphic novel series starting with Graystripe's Adventure, which has three books in the series. There are also three standalone graphic novels: The Rise of Scourge, A Shadow in RiverClan and Winds of Change. 

The books are written by a group of authors under the pen-name Erin Hunter and are published by HarperCollins Publishers.
