Description from the publisher:

Malice
Young Corban watches enviously as boys become warriors, learning the art of war. He yearns to wield his sword and spear to protect his king's realm. But that day will come all too soon. Only when he loses those he loves will he learn the true price of courage.

Valour
The Banished Lands are torn by war as the army of High King Nathair sweeps the realm challenging all who oppose his holy crusade. Allied with the manipulative Queen Rhin of Cambren, there are few who can stand against him. But Rhin is playing her own games and has her eyes on a far greater prize . . .

Wrath Events are coming to a climax in the Banished Lands as the war reaches new heights. King Nathair has taken control of the fortress at Drassil, and three of the Seven Treasures are in his possession. And together with Calidus and his ally Queen Rhin, Nathair will do anything to obtain the remaining Treasures. With all seven under his command, he can open a portal to the Otherworld.

Ruin
The Banished Lands are engulfed in war and chaos. The cunning Queen Rhin has conquered the west, and High King Nathair has the cauldron, the most powerful of the seven treasures. At his back stands the scheming Calidus and a warband of the Kadoshim, dread demons of the Otherworld.

Wrath

About the Author:

John Gwynne is a British author best known for his epic fantasy series, The Faithful and the Fallen, which has been praised for its compelling characters, intricate world-building, and gripping plot. He was born in 1968 in Singapore but spent most of his childhood in East Sussex, England.

Gwynne's love for storytelling began at a young age, and he was an avid reader of fantasy and science fiction novels. He studied and worked in London for several years, where he honed his writing skills while also pursuing a career in the technology industry. However, he never lost his passion for writing, and in his spare time, he continued to develop the world and characters that would eventually become The Faithful and the Fallen.

After years of writing and revising, Gwynne self-published the first book in the series, Malice, in 2012. The book quickly gained a following, and Gwynne was signed by a literary agent, who helped him secure a publishing deal with Tor Books. The series went on to become a bestseller, with each book receiving critical acclaim and praise from fans of the genre.

In addition to The Faithful and the Fallen, Gwynne has also written two standalone novels set in the same world, A Time of Dread and A Time of Blood. He is currently working on a new series, Of Blood and Bone, which is set to be a prequel to The Faithful and the Fallen.

Gwynne's writing has been compared to that of acclaimed fantasy authors like George R.R. Martin and J.R.R. Tolkien, and he has been praised for his ability to create realistic, relatable characters in a fantastical setting. He is known for his vivid descriptions of battle scenes, as well as his skill at building tension and suspense throughout his novels.

In addition to his writing, Gwynne is also a keen outdoorsman, and he enjoys hiking and camping in the wilderness. He currently lives in Eastbourne, England, with his wife and four children.
