Born in Islington, London in the early 70s; Robert Muchamore has emerged as a pioneering British author of Young Adult fiction. Muchamore famously worked as a private investigator up until 2005 after which he shot to fame as a YA fiction writer. Trivia has it that Robert was inspired by his nephew to create the CHERUB book series. Robert’s nephew complained about the lack of material for him and his age group to read. Cherub Series 1 Collection 5 Books Set (Books 1-5) By Robert Muchamore This Collection Set is a captivating and thrilling series that follows the adventures of young spies in training. James is sent on a dangerous mission to infiltrate a criminal organisation, and readers are taken along for the ride as he learns the skills he needs to survive.

Throughout the series, Muchamore does an excellent job of creating a world that is both believable and exciting. His characters are well-drawn and realistic, and readers will find themselves rooting for James and his fellow agents as they face danger at every turn. One of the things that set the Cherub series apart from other young adult spy novels is the way that Muchamore handles the violence. 

While there are certainly moments of intense action and danger, Muchamore never shies away from the fact that violence has consequences. His characters feel the weight of their actions, and the consequences of their choices are always front and centre. The Henderson's Boys series is another one of the many popular works of Muchamore. A series of young adult spy novels, the books follow Charles Henderson, the creator of the fictitious CHERUB organisation. The protagonist, James, has to bust an inmate out of a high-security US prison. Over the years, CHERUB has put plenty of criminals behind bars. Now, for the first time ever, they've got to break one out. 

Under American law, kids convicted of serious crimes can be sentenced as adults. Two hundred and eighty of these child criminals live in the sunbaked desert prison of Arizona Max. In one of the most dangerous CHERUB missions ever, James Adams has to go undercover inside Arizona Max, befriend an inmate and then bust him out. CHERUB kids are trained professionals, working in everyday situations. Their essential advantage: adults never suspect that children are spying on them. For official purposes, these children do not exist.
