The team at Books2Door understands the importance of school, and we know that sometimes you want to make it a bit more lively. Please stick with us; we have books that are both fun and educational, as well as some that are designed to provide a helping hand. School can be fun with the right tools! It's time to pack the school bags, splash out on some new kit and invest in those back-to-school essentials. From stationery to books, being prepared for the start of a new term can feel like a long list! That's why we've curated a selection of must-have fiction and non-fiction books for children of all ages to help them settle back in.
Early Learners
One of the most important lessons you can teach is the love of reading, and we at Books2Door believe the earlier we start, the better. For reading level progression in our little learners, we recommend the Biff, Chip and Kipper Oxford Phonics Collection, which includes four books starting at Stage One. It's the best avenue to watch your child grow in learning, and they'll enjoy a few very extraordinary adventures along the way!
For any growing child, a solid foundation in all subjects is essential. One of the most critical and challenging avenues they explore is learning the alphabet, times tables and telling time. Luckily, the Wipe Clean workbooks give your kids the chance to develop those skills right at home.
Primary School
Though once you have the basics, that's when things get really interesting. The history we get taught can be boring but when you add a little Horrible to it, it's a total blast. Secondary School
Movies teach us that secondary school is the time when you're supposed to know everything about everything, but really, it's a time to learn and explore who you are, most importantly, for us, what kind of reader you are.
We recommend the Harry Potter series for all your childhood whimsy and magic, and Percy Jackson for those who want to grow up with him. His adventures, from twelve to eighteen years old, will have you thanking your parents that you are not a child of Poseidon. However, outside of all the fun adventures coming your way, you also have to think about your studies.
