Michael Bond created this character back in the 1950s, the personality traits of Paddington Bear resembles much like a real life human, showing much emotions and day to day life which really draws in readers, especially young kids. In 2015, Paddington Bear was also made into a movie. Paddington Bear is an optimistic individual, he likes fairness and kindness shared among people, he displays amazing manners to people but has the tendency to cause a huge chaos with people due to his honest yet oafish side. The origin of this character was very sweet, the BBC cameraman and soon to be author Michael Bond had saw a leftover Teddy Bear in the shelves of Selfridges shopping centre, he brought the bear home to gift it to his wife. Bond then went on to create a series of stories detailing Paddington Bear's life, he also made sure to give a connotation of a bear that was travelling from Peru to United Kingdom, which reflected child evacuees fleeing from the war, a note was also added that read: "Please look after this bear.
