The story centres around two characters, Jasmine and Matt, who are forced to spend New Year's Eve alone due to different circumstances. Jasmine is a successful businesswoman who has been suspended from work for a month, while Matt is a freelance journalist who has been laid off. They are neighbours but have never really spoken to each other until that fateful night.

The novel follows their journey as they become friends and support each other through their respective struggles. As they spend more time together, they start to learn more about themselves and what they really want in life. They also discover a deep connection between them that they cannot ignore.

Her writing style is poetic and evocative, making the story come to life in the reader's mind. The characters are well-rounded and relatable, and their journey is both heartwarming and inspiring.

How to Fall in Love

How to Fall in Love is another touching novel that explores the themes of love and self-discovery. The story revolves around Christine, a woman who is feeling lost and unhappy with her life. She meets a stranger named Adam, who is determined to help her find her way back to happiness. Adam challenges her to complete a list of tasks that he believes will help her rediscover her true self and fall in love with life again.

As Christine embarks on this journey of self-discovery, she starts to unravel the secrets of Adam's past and discovers that he has his own reasons for wanting to help her. As they get closer, she realizes that she might be falling in love with him, but wonders if it's too late to start over.

What makes How to Fall in Love a must-read is its uplifting and inspiring message. The novel encourages readers to take a step back and reflect on their lives, and to have the courage to make the changes necessary to find happiness. Ahern's writing is once again poetic and evocative, and the characters are well-developed and relatable. The Year I Met You
A thoughtful, captivating and ultimately uplifting novel from this uniquely talented author.

The year I met you. But being fired is just the beginning for Jasmine. In the year that unfolds, she learns more about herself than she could ever imagine – and more about other people than she ever dreamed. Sometimes friendship is found in the most unexpected of places.

How to Fall in Love
Christine Rose is crossing the Ha’penny Bridge in Dublin late one night when she sees a stranger, Adam, poised to jump. Desperate to help, she talks him into a reckless deal: if he gives her two weeks – till his 35th birthday – she’ll prove that life is worth living.
But as the clock ticks and the two of them embark on late-night escapades and romantic adventures, what Christine has really promised seems impossible…
