This colourful activity book from the Natural History Museum is the ideal introduction to fantastic fossils. It is crammed with 100 re-useable stickers of fossilized plants and animals, from ancient sea creatures and dinosaur claws to whole cockroaches preserved in amber, as well as lots of bite-size facts and puzzles and games. The stickers are accompanied by fun learning pages which explain how fossils form, the different types of fossil that can be found and what they can tell us about what the world was like millions, or even billions, of years ago. There is lots of fossil fun to be found too, with a dot-to-dot puzzle, a dinosaur maze and a fantastic double-page landscape which children can use to create their own fossil dig. With bite-size facts and images of actual fossils from the unrivalled collections of the Natural History Museum, young children will discover what fossils actually are and what they can look like in a fun and engaging way.
