Description:

Over on the Farm
Welcome to the farm, where pigs roll, goats nibble, horses gallop, hens peck, and turkeys strut! Count, clap, and sing along to the classic tune of "Over in the Meadow" while learning about life on a classic farm.

Over in the Ocean
Brilliant artwork is the star of this oceanic counting book, based on the classic children's song "Over in the Meadow". Kids will sing, clap, and count their way among pufferfish that "puff," gruntfish that "grunt" and seahorses that "flutter," and begin to appreciate the animals in the ocean. And the clay art will inspire many a project.

Over in a River
The great rivers of North America are teeming with life and on the pages of Over in a River—from blue herons in the Hudson to salmon in the Columbia, and from dragonflies in the Rio Grande to mallards in the St. Lawrence. Children will "slither" like water snakes and "slide" like otters while singing to the tune of "Over in a Meadow." Read about the snake, beaver, frog, otter, dragonfly, and more that lives along the rivers! Kids love counting books, too! What a delightful way to learn about riparian habitats and geography at the same time!

Over in the Forest
Follow the tracks of ten woodland animals but . . . uh-oh . . . watch out for the skunk! Children learn the ways of forest animals to the rhythm of "Over in the Meadow" as they leap like a squirrel, dunk like a raccoon, and pounce like a fox. They will also count the babies and search for ten hidden forest animals.

Over on a Mountain
Discover twenty cool animals, ten great mountain ranges, and seven continents all in one story! And do it in the age-old style of children the world over—by clapping, counting, singing, and acting like . . . well, animals! What fun! Kids love counting books, too!

Over in the Grasslands
The perfect habitat book for kids, Over in the Grasslands teaches early learners about the animals of South Africa, and doubles as a fun, interactive, counting book for kids.

Come along on a safari! You'll meet lions and rhinos and hippos—oh, my! You'll also find elephants that squirt, giraffes that slurp, and hornbills that toot. Africa's savanna is home to a delightful diversity of animals. Kids will love to sing about them—and practice counting animals, too! Cut paper illustrations add to the discovery, highlighting some animals and hiding others. Safaris are fun! Information about the animals, a map of Africa, and tips from both the author and the illustrator on how to use this book with children round out a very helpful package.

Over on a Desert
Deserts are full of surprises! An amazing array of animals calls this driest place on Earth their home. Through rhythm and rhyme, children meet a new animal on every page. They won't be able to resist getting in on all the action as animal parents teach their babies how to live in this unusual habitat—camels kneel, armadillos dig, dingoes sniff, and jerboas jump. Cut paper collages capture the subtle beauty of the desert and also "hide" more animals for young eyes to find. One part song, one part story, and one part sheer delight!

Over in the Jungle
Parents, teachers and gift givers will find:
a book filled with baby animals from jungle habitats.
educational backmatter about this habitat and the animals that live there.
a nature book to explore new and beautiful habitats!
The creative art will inspire many projects at home and at school! Kids will explore the jungle habitat and learn about baby animals like boas, dart frogs, and more creatures around the jungle habitat in this bestselling book for young explorers!
