The Miss Marple books by Agatha Christie are crime classics and one of the most loved detective fiction series of all time. Popular as she is, Miss Jane Marple is actually a fictional character that features in a series of Agatha Christie's crime novels and short stories. Miss Marple lives in the fictitious village of St. Mary Mead (a quaint little place with a surprisingly high crime rate) and acts as an amateur consulting detective.

Book Set One

In book set one you will get a fantastic collection of Miss Marple stories such as The Murder at the Vicarage, The Body in the Library, The Moving Finger, Sleeping Murder and A Murder is Announced

The Murder at the Vicarage for instance is one of the most popular Agatha Christie novels featuring Ms Marple. Set in a quiet English village, the novel starts with a shocking murder and an unlikely detective. Nobody liked Colonel Protheroe. So when he’s found dead in the vicarage study, there’s no absence of suspects in the seemingly peaceful village of St Mary Mead. In fact, Jane Marple can think of at least seven! The police dismiss her as a prying busybody, but only the ingenious Miss Marple can uncover the truth.

The Body in the Library is yet another Miss Marple crime fiction novel by Agatha. A young woman is found murdered and a scandal ensues. When Mrs. Bantry wakes up to find the body in her library, there’s only one woman to call: her good friend Jane Marple. But Miss Marples’ investigations uncover a scandal far darker than either of them could have imagined, and this time she may be out of her depth.

One of Agatha Christie's best-known characters ever; Miss Marple has been portrayed numerous times on screen. Her first appearance was in a short story published in The Royal Magazine in December 1927, "The Tuesday Night Club", which later became the first chapter of The Thirteen Problems (1932). Her first appearance in a full-length novel was in The Murder at the Vicarage in 1930, and her last appearance was in Sleeping Murder in 1976. Miss Marpel has since stolen the hearts of millions of crime and thriller readers worldwide.

Agatha Christie went on to write a series of twelve full-length novels and multiple popular short stories starring this iconic character. And today, more than four decades after the author’s death, Miss Marple is still one of the most recognised fictional detectives in literature; with Miss Marple's books still selling like hotcakes.

Box Set Three

Our third and final complete box set of Agatha Christie’s Miss Marple is Miss Marple Collection 3 by Agatha Christie: 4 Books Box Set. This collection includes At Bertram’s Hotel, Nemesis, Miss Marple’s Final Cases and The Thirteen Problems

The Thirteen Problems is another one of Ms Marple crime fiction classics by Agatha Christie. On a quiet Tuesday in St Mary Mead, a group of friends—The Tuesday Night Club—gather for their weekly dinner. A policeman, a clergyman, a solicitor, an author, an artist, and an unassuming lady with a shrewd gaze—Miss Jane Marple. Conversation naturally turns to crime. Each recounts a seemingly unsolvable mystery. Each thinks they know the answer. But it's the one they least expect who understands the true nature of each wicked act. Never underestimate Miss Marple!

Through these books as the series progresses; Miss Marple transforms from a simpleton into a shrewdly intelligent woman who uses her razor-sharp intuition and skills of deduction to solve criminal; cases across England and beyond. Whilst on the surface Miss Marple is simply an innocent lady who couldn’t scare a goose; she is actually a formidable force who can suspect a lie from a mile away! Ms Marple is sharp, intelligent and has an uncanny ability to join the dots to piece together clues and solve even the most complex criminal cases.
