Since the beginning of time, civilisations and cultures have told stories of fairies in various different forms. Stories of fairies date back all the way to the 13th century—from Greek Mythology to European and English folklore; fairies have been a part of most civilisations and cultures. Except of course, each culture has seen fairies in their own unique light.

A fairy (also called faery, faerie, fay, fae) is perceived as a type of mythical being or legendary creature, a form of spirit, often described as metaphysical, supernatural or preternatural. The term ‘fairy’ encapsulates many members of the fae family, including goblins, gnomes, elves, and more. However, the one thing that is consistent about fairies across the globe; is that they are all part of amazing stories, tales and literary works.
