Encyclopedia books for little children
Over the years, DK has bought out some amazing encyclopedias for little ones to help them understand the world they live in. A great example of this is Pop-Up Peekaboo! 3 Books Collection: Surprise Under Every Flap! By DK. This great three-book set contains three board books featuring, Dinosaurs, getting ready for bedtime, and I love you stories. These board books are great for toddlers who are being introduced into the world of books, they are sturdy and filled with bright images and interactive pop-ups, perfect for children aged 0-5 as well as 5-7-years.
DK also have a series of pop-up books called Hide and Seek books. These books all feature different animals and are perfect for teaching children about them and where they would find them. The pop-up element enabled children to interact with the books and therefore engage with them even more. Check out our Hide and Seek 3 Book set, which contains Hide and Seek Puppies, Pets and Animals. For similar books, check out our range of pop-up and lift-the-flap books.
Encyclopedias for older children
Another great set for little minds is DK First Encyclopedia 2 Books Collection Set. These encyclopedias are filled with factual information and detailed diagrams, images and figures while remaining accessible to younger readers. This set contains the titles First How Things Work Encyclopedia and First Geography Encyclopedia.
A fantastic DK set for 9-14-year-olds is our DK Eyewitness Children Collection 8 Books Set. This set is perfect for children with a keen interest in history. Help them grow their knowledge of periods in history like The Roman Empire, Victorian Era and World War II. These encyclopedias are highly informative and easy to read, making them great for studying or additional reading. Another great set is DK Eyewitness Collection 8 Books Set, which contains books about The Human Body, The Ocean, Planets, Mythology and many more.
Over the years, DK has worked with many other organisations to produce educational and fascinating books. A great example of this is the DK Smithsonian range. This range explores science, history and natural geography and the effects it has or has had on our world. Check out our DK Smithsonian Picturepedia box set, which contains ten excellent books crammed full of fascinating facts and detailed images and is suitable for children aged 7+.
For more study books, check out our home learning range and our study and revision guides. Encouraging children to study can be tricky, but using books like DKs impressive selection of encyclopedias can help to keep them interested and engaged in different topics.
