If spooky vampires don’t scare you enough, try The Demonata series, perfect for young adults. The three protagonists, Grubbs Grady, Kernel Fleck and Bec MacConn, each from different time periods throughout human history, must delve into the frightening world of demons. They must each fight the demon master Lord Loss and his many familiars who promise to destroy the human universe and even to stop death. In this graphically violent saga, the trio must come together to attempt to defeat Demonata and his plans of destroying the world.

For those zombie lovers, the Zom-B series will definitely give you a good scare. The master of horror spins another frightful tale in this series, narrative in the first-person perspective of “Becky “B” Smith, a teenager turned Zombie. Eighteen months after rejecting her racist father, B wakes up as a zombie and must explore this new world amidst the ongoing battle between Dr Oystein and his Angels and Mr Dowling and his mutant-controlled zombies.

This book is aimed at older readers aged 13+, with the series dealing with themes of racism and opposing beliefs.
