Byx is determined to see if the legends about other dairnes she’s heard over the years are true. She sets off on a quest to find others of her kind, travelling through the war-torn kingdom of Nedarra. Along the way, she meets new allies who each have their own motivation for joining her: Tobble, the worthy wobbyk; Khara, the girl of many disguises; Renzo, the thief with honour; and Gambler, the principled felivet. Together they will uncover a secret that will threaten the existence of not just the dairnes, but every other creature in their world. . .
Endling: The FirstByx might be the last dairne alive. Together with her companions – loyal Tobble, brave and resourceful Khara, wise but deadly Gambler, and Renzo the thief – she is following a perilous path out of Nedarra and into the snow-covered mountains of the northern country of Dreyland. The threat of war is growing, and with it, the possible extinction of all Byx’s dreams. Just as the group make a hopeful discovery in their quest to find more dairnes, things grow dark. And a terrifying encounter with the terramants, another of the powerful governing species, uncovers a treacherous plan that could bring devastation to all the creatures of Nedarra.
But Byx and her friends are determined to never give up, and find themselves the unlikely leaders in a simmering rebellion that threatens all they hold dear.
Endling: The OnlyTwo mighty armies are preparing for war, one led by a murderous great cat and the other by a cruel, power-hungry tyrant. But a third army is quietly growing, an army led by a young girl, an army of peace.
Not so long ago Byx, a dairne, was the timid youngest pup in her family. But since her family were all slaughtered by the cruel Murdano, Byx has had to leave her own kind and finds herself at the forefront of a peaceful army, serving her friend and leader, the young Lady of Nedarra.
Can the courage and heart of these young friends really stand in the way of two great armies? Can peace prevail over war?
