Each year, one trainee at K-pop Academy is chosen for the coveted Spotlight Solo, but legends say every winner is cursed. When Nari is selected, her anxieties spiral as shadow demons twist the superstition into a weapon.

The group begins falling apart due to their fear of what the curse might do to them. But, with the other members of AURA by her side and the up-and-coming boy group VORTEX ready to sing backup, Nari must summon the courage to nail her vocals, save her school, and prove that friendship shines brighter than fear.

At K-Pop Academy, the friends are preparing for their midyear exams. In order to pass, they must achieve flawlesskalgunmu (synchronized choreography), but it is proving harder than it looks.

A legendary crystal drum promises to ‘hold the heartbeat of idols past’, so surely it will help! But, the drum’s untested magic drives them into rivalry instead of rhythm.

To pass their exams — and survive the term — the group must learn that true harmony comes from trust, not shortcuts, and there is no ‘I’ in ‘team’.
