Stories of Paddington Bear have delighted children all over the world for more than fifty years! Paddington Bear has been entertaining kids around the world for last few decades, due to his lovable character, quirky traits, almost too ungraceful and innocent and would often get himself into awkward situations accidently. Paddington Bear presents himself as an honest and real gentlemen which really sets him apart from other characters and one of the reasons why he is loved by all readers and fans around the world. He would never leave his home without wearing his iconic duffle coat and bringing his brown suitcase with all his belongings. Paddington Bear and his love for marmalade sandwiches is an understatement and he has the ability to negotiate with people, particularly when he is shopping like when he shops at the flea market.

Michael Bond created this character back in the 1950s, the personality traits of Paddington Bear resembles much like a real life human, showing much emotions and day to day life which really draws in readers, especially young kids. In 2015, Paddington Bear was also made into a movie. Paddington Bear is an optimistic individual, he likes fairness and kindness shared among people, he displays amazing manners to people but has the tendency to cause a huge chaos with people due to his honest yet oafish side. The origin of this character was very sweet, the BBC cameraman and soon to be author Michael Bond had saw a leftover Teddy Bear in the shelves of Selfridges shopping centre, he brought the bear home to gift it to his wife. Bond then went on to create a series of stories detailing Paddington Bear's life, he also made sure to give a connotation of a bear that was travelling from Peru to United Kingdom, which reflected child evacuees fleeing from the war, a note was also added that read: "Please look after this bear. Thank you" Make sure to browse our bestsellers and authors collection for more fantastic titles to melt your hearts.

Titles included:

  1. A Bear Called Paddington.

Paddington Bear had travelled all the way from Darkest Peru when the Brown family first met him on Paddington station. Since then their lives have never been quite the same...for ordinary things become quite extraordinary when a bear called Paddington is involved.

  1. More About Paddington.

As Paddington says himself, "Things happen to me - I'm that sort of bear" And, with his attempts at home decorating, detective work and photography, the Brown family soon find that Paddington causes his own particular brand of chaos.

  1. Paddington Helps Out.

Somehow trouble always comes naturally to Paddington. What other bear could catch a fish in his hat, or cause havoc in the Brown's kitchen just by trying to be helpful?

4. Paddington Abroad.

The Browns are going abroad and a certain bear is planning the trip. But, as Mrs Brown worries, with Paddington in charge, "There's no knowing where we might end up!"

5. Paddington at Large.

But who else other than Paddington could hang Mr Curry's lawnmower from a treetop or set Father Christmas' beard on fire?

  1. Paddington Marches On.

Paddington's fondness for marmalade earns him an invitation to an "important ceremony". It also leads him into a lot of very sticky trouble, but as always he manages to come out on top.

  1. Paddington at Work.

There hasn't been a single disaster since Paddington came back from Peru. But he soon makes up for lost time. The Stock Exchange, the ballet, the barber's shop, Mr Curry's kitchen...nothing is safe when Paddington gets to work.

  1. Paddington Goes to Town.

Paddington doesn't intentionally turn his friend's wedding into an uproar by getting the wedding ring stuck on his paw. Nor does he mean Mr Curry to slip on his marmalade sandwich in the middle of an important golf shot. But those sort of things just happens to a bear like Paddington.

  1. Paddington Takes the Air.

"I do wish I could see into Paddington's mind!" said Mrs Brown. "I know something's going on. I can recognise the signs" And there is plenty of cause for concern when Paddington takes an interest in detective work. Not to mention sewing and ballroom dancing!

  1. Paddington on Top.

Nothing is ever straightforward where Paddington is concerned. Whether he's going to school, visiting the seaside or attempting to keep fit - one thing always leads to another...

  1. Takes the Test.

"Congratulations on passing your driving test!" said the examiner, grimly. Who would have thought it possible when he has just sat on Paddington's marmalade sandwiches and been driven into the car in front? But then, he hasn't tested many bears before.

  1. Races Ahead.

Paddington often finds himself in unusual situations. So it is no surprise when he gets in a spot of bother with some shaving cream, causes London bus to be evacuated and is mistaken for a Peruvian hurdle. There's never a dull moment when a certain bear is around!

  1. Here and Now.

"I'm not a foreigner", exclaimed Paddington, "I'm from Darkest Peru." Paddington has always felt at home with the Brown family. Then one day, a mysterious visitor arrives at number thirty-two Windsor Gardens. Is it time for Paddington to decide where @home@ really is?
